My
services
are especially effective if static or declining market
share, low profit margins, poor staff morale, stale
products and services, customer and staff complaints,
and production problems are hurting your bottom line.
In
my experience, successful businesses are looking for
bigger and better ways to optimise sales and marketing
performance. They know that without a continual supply
of fresh ideas, their businesses can become complacent
and lazy.
A
large manufacturer came to me because a static brand
and (some said declining) market share was undermining
their success.
Their
sales and marketing people had spent many hours refining
and polishing expensive marketing materials, but nothing
worked as well as they'd hoped. I undertook an audit of
their brand positioning and marketing materials and found
a more potent way to express their unique point of difference.
This dynamic change of focus meant the sales and marketing
team were able to further streamline their approach and
revolutionise sales performance. They now have expertly
written brochures enhanced by superior photography, an
easy-to-manage brand identity system, and a well-defined
brand promise.
A
retailer was forced to discount his already keenly priced
products and services to keep up with more successful
competitors.
Even though he provided superior service, range and
turn-around
times, he was unable to convince clients to spend a little
more to get the best. He asked me to help devise a strategy
that would turn his perceived commodity products and services
into a brand that would demand a premium. I did this by
successfully repositioning his business and using the pulling
power of design to change market perceptions. Then I tested,
tested, tested until I found the combination that delivered
the best profit margin. This successful client now enjoys
a beautifully designed office, elegant brochures and business
stationery, seductive packaging, an exciting website, and
is renowned for their well-written beautifully presented
proposals.
A
consumer services provider had a severe problem with
low staff morale.
Departments were pulling in different directions, undermining
important customer relationships. I successfully used brainstorming
workshops to re-energise teams and helped each team to create
an exciting visual representation of the future.
They now have an exciting Vision Map™ that tells the
story of where they've been, where they're going and how
they're going to get there. I guaranteed their people would
become passionate about their role and become totally committed
to making the business a success after this simple program,
and they were.
A
professional services provider was worried that customers
had stopped buying his products and services because
they had become bored with his business.
After making sure there were no other underlying problems,
I suggested he dynamically repackage the business and everything
it provided. Both staff and customer attitudes changed from
the moment the new “look” was released. Sales
and marketing staff were better equipped to differentiate
and demonstrate value, and customers responded positively
to the new logo, vibrant colour scheme and unique packaging,
brochures and easy to use website.
A
machinery manufacturer was distressed because of a higher
than normal level of customer complaints.
I
discovered they had recently introduced badly designed,
hard-to-understand
Quality Assurance documentation for staff to use, resulting
in a much lower level of customer (and staff) satisfaction.
I was able to successfully use my design, illustration
and copywriting skills to ensure all documentation became
user-friendly, resulting in a substantial drop in customer
and staff complaints.
A
large family business was struggling with design and
printing cost over-runs caused by inconsistency, duplication
and wastage.
I found various departments were developing marketing materials
independently of each other. This ad-hoc approach caused
unnecessary confusion and was eroding the value of their
brand,
so I provided an easy-to-use management system that
now protects their brand from misuse and reduces production
costs.
